Day 38 June 29th The Baker

Rest Day. Ames IA 0 miles (1,634)

Carolyn, Hawk's wife (see posts for days 36 and 37), has been busy making sure I don't lose too much weight. She gets up early every morning and bakes goodies. Here are some of the treats I've been enjoying:
Strawberry rhubarb pie, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate mint brownies, rhubarb coffee cake, cinnamon coffee cake, and banana bread. Yummmmmmmm!

Today, which was another rest day for me, we visited Hawk and Carolyn's property where they are building a new house:
We did some bushwhacking and came across some tasty berries:
For dinner we went out to Hawks favorite restaurant:
For dessert, we shared two of these:
I think we all had too much to drink (was there something in the tea I ordered?) because the double entendres were flowing freely without reserve. I will leave it to the reader's imagination.
