Day 21 Cardinal Greenway June 12th

Economy IN to Marion IN 55 miles (982)

This is Jason. He was my warm showers host last night. He lives right off the Cardinal Greenway Trail.
He rode 35 miles with me this morning along the trail. I hope Jason will come visit us a few days before competing in the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon.

Pictures along the Cardinal Greenway Trail.

I set up my tent at the Green Acres campground (this campground not recommended).
No sooner had I set up my tent, but had to run and hide out in the windowless bathroom due to a sudden and violent storm cell. Wasn't sure if I would see my tent again or if it would blow away.

I was rewarded, however, with a beautiful post-storm sunset.

    1. The weather around here can be so unstable - it's crazy! One minute I check the forecast and it looks like I might not even have to put my tent up for the night - certainly not the fly. The next minute I checked the weather forecast and but before I realize it the winds have kicked up and the rain is beginning to fall.

    2. Sounds like home-always unpredictable. Our go to phrase was “if it does not rain, we will go on a bike ride” 😁 and it rained often 😩
